a foresty celebration of music
SLAMMO!!! welcomes you to the green trees, brown dirt, and blue
skies of the Cascadia Forest, to celebrate music in a truly unique
fashion. SLAMMO!!! brings to you, a smattering of some of the tastiest
pstalent in the country, nay, the universe. Oh, and if the universe was
just a marble like in that one movie, the pstalent SLAMMO!!! is
bringing would quite likely be tastier than that of the other marbles
that super gigantic ultra-galactic beings toss around with so little
care. The music will be good, is really the point that SLAMMO!!! is
trying to make here...
Speaking of tasty...
You know how some people, when they eat dinner, they make sure that
there is a seperation between the different foods on their plate? Well,
imagine that instead of that food segregation, you jabbed a spork into
the potatos and dragged them over the peas, squished them between your
toast, and slathered your salad. Now you have a huge messy food
collaberation. Have I lost you?
SLAMMO!!! is a musical example of this huge messy food collaberation, i will get into this more in a second...
All of the artists playing have recently been released on
Compilations from Portland to Greece and beyond. There will be CDs
given out as well as sold at the event, BRING YOUR 10 AND 15 DOLLAR
BILLS!!!
Let me tell you who is playing, then I will go into more detail...

SoOOOooo, instead of all of these live acts playing 2 hour sets,
moving from one artist to the next like most parties, this will be a
musical live-act stream-of-consciousness extravaganza!! Set times are
not arranged. Halfway through FaceHeads live set, Freakazoid may just
pop up to the stage and start playing his sounds, on top of FaceHead's
music! Oh and look, here comes Arahat, adding even more layer and
atmosphere to the mix, followed by Sasquatch, who adds a bit o'
percussion. Soon after, Freaks of Nature solidly usurps the booth,
starting up a full power Freaks Live set, soon followed by Squee
walking up and adding sounds to Freaks of Nature, who is added later by
Malaclypse, adding even more twist and flow to the whole gobby plate of
potato-ey peas and toast and salad. The whole night will be like this.
You will never know what is going to happen next.
To aid you in your journey through the unknown, SLAMMO!!! brings
you some fine space-shapers to create pointy and round atmospheres.
Zach will be presenting one of his largest and most intricate stretch
fabric displays, and there are some interesting surprises that will be
coming out of this artwork. Bret will be coming with an installation as
well, holding space and supporting this event that supports the Gil
event. Monica will be there also, putting her intention and care into a
beautiful altar. And last but not least... BECKY will be spinning fire
for us and doing her best to not catch any slefs on fire!
Broose is coming and offering us up a Bitchin Kitchen, with tasty
morsels to purchase for life and happy bellies, profits of which go to
the Gil party upcoming.
SLAMMO!!! is all-inclusive. Bring your diversity, bring your
spirituality, bring your love and happiness. Bring all of these things,
because these things aren't found at the party without you, they are
found within you. We, as a community, NEED you to bring these things to
make this event diverse and powerful, to be inclusive, accepting,
tolerant, communal, and above all, joyful!
Things to Bring:
Water, food(or donation for the Bitchin Kitchen), camping chairs
and tents, coolers of frothy brew or beverage, any decadent things you
take with you to make you feel happy and comfortable, it is all
welcome.
SLAMMO!!! is 20$ per person. 15$ per person if there are 3 or more
people in your car upon arrival. If you are going to have difficulty
paying for the event, please contact my slef directly and tell me your
story, I am sure I can make arrangements for some people who need them.
MOST OF THE PROFITS GO TO THE UPCOMING GIL PARTY, so please know that
your contribution will aid in making this the best Gil Party EVER, OH
